Week 11 comes in two halves. On Thursday, Classes 5A through 7A play their last regular-season week. On Friday, Classes 1A through 4A open the playoffs, and the MAIS plays its playoff games the same night.
Thursday's lead game, and our Game of the Week, is Caledonia at New Hope. New Hope is already in the playoffs, and with a win it takes the Region 1-5A top seed. If Caledonia wins, the top seed goes to the winner in Lafayette, where Pontotoc plays. After Week 10, the Press Coverage Power Index (PCPI) has New Hope by 21.
Starkville is in the playoffs if it beats Oxford on Thursday. The PCPI calls that game a toss-up.
Tupelo is 10–0, and it hosts DeSoto Central on Thursday. The PCPI has Tupelo by 24.
